located in beautiful griffith park, this train museum is worth a quick stop if you are in the neighborhood. it's just a short drive from pasadena, or about a 30 minute bike ride if you visit it the way i did recently. it includes a small train for rides for kids, and lots of big trains to gawk at. go visit travel town, and find out more right here.

ReplyDeleteMy father used to take me out there every so often. I had a great time. I *suspect* my mother kicked us out of the house to get cleaning done or to have some alone time---but we had a great time without her anyway.
It was a wonderful place to learn, explore and play---in on and around the trains. My head *still* swivels around when I hear a horn toot or bell clang---to look for the train.
bw, I recommend you take a bike ride to this place 1 day.

Isn't it a great place? Used to go there often when my son was little. Must be a nice ride to get there on a quiet weekend morning.
