the trees along south lake avenue - including this massive palm tree - are still decked out in white lights. i don't remember them staying up quite so long last winter. can anyone confirm that they have been up longer than normal?
on a side note, i recently had my 20,000th visitor! thanks to everyone who visits this blog on a regular basis. you have helped spread the word and made this blog into something i really feel proud of. by no means is this the most visited blog, not even in pasadena. but for something that began as a creative outlet for a theological student, and a place i figured i'd get one or two people to check out, it really has surpassed my expectations.
thank you!
Congrats. How does that number compare your number of study hours.
ReplyDeleteI AM de 20,001 visitor??
I wondered about the lights, too. I don't remember them staying up this long last winter.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your 20,000th, Ben!
Cafe, you may have been. It happened sometime in the last two days.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment Laurie!
With images like this it's no wonder you've gone through 20,000.
ReplyDeleteThanks Babooshka!
ReplyDeleteBW, did you ever say how your homemade beer turned out?
ReplyDeleteIt turned out wonderfully! Thanks for asking. It's somewhere betweeb 7 and 8% ABV, has very strong roasty flavor with subtle hints of cocoa and strawberries. Oh, and it's blacker than night.
ReplyDeleteCongrats! That's a great photo, by the way!!
ReplyDeleteBen, do you have a photo of the blue lights on the trees on Green Street? They look pretty cool and I wonder whether they're now permanent.
ReplyDeleteIn fact I do Clare. You can see it here:

I'm not sure if they are permanent either. It's been a while since I was on Green St after dark.
Congratulations, Ben! You deserve all the kudos.
