this tower and beacon is located just outside of the pasadena police department. i don't have any information on its significance (maybe pasadena pio can help?), but in the cement in front is this line (and barely noticeable at the bottom of the above photo) -

a quick search of the city website directed me to the city police department's list of values, which are known as the pasadena way. i don't know much about our community's cops - i've never had any contact with them in fact - but if they live by this code of conduct, they must be a top notch group!
