My family used to go there when I was a kid, like late 60s/early 70s, and as a kid I LOVED that place. The burgers always seemed like sheer heaven, and the shakes were to die for. But as a kid, who knows? maybe it was merely okay. They were famous for a burger called the Little Stinko, because it came with a full slice of raw onion on it; that's why the man in the sign is crying and has the clothes pin on his nose! I think it's been there since at least the 1950s.

ReplyDeleteYep, I've been there a couple times in my life. It's address is Alhambra, but it's that corner where Alhambra, San Marino and South Pasadena all crash together.
ReplyDeleteIt's good, not great, just a regular diner. Their milk shakes are better than any food I've had there.
I need to go there 1 day. You been inside, BW?
ReplyDeleteNope, never have.
ReplyDeleteBut good to hear your review, Justin.
