white brugmansia


not usually one to post pictures of flowers, but these came out really well. how cool is it to have blooming flowers all year round? taking up close pictures is something i really need to experiment more with.

after several comments, the name brugmansia has been suggested (anonymously). thanks for the help!

I don't their name but I have seen these here in Seguin (TX) before and have always like the look of the bell-like flower. Very nice.

Brugmansia is a small to mid-size tree with large, strong-smelling, trumpet-shaped flowers hanging downward. Most parts of the plant contain atropine, scopolamine and hyoscyamine. It has been used as an admixture plant in ayahuasca brews as well as in poisons and medicines in S. America.
