save rick's burgers

for as long as we've been in pasadena (less than a year) there has been a sign in the window of rick's saying that they have to find a new home. they continue to operate, but who knows for how long. the next time you want some fast food, skip the chains and go to rick's while you still can.

What is Rick's speciality?

There has been a carpet place in Hobart that has been having a 'closing down' sale since I first moved here (12 years now)!

I think their specialty is burgers in general. If this is the place I'm thinking of, there's often a long line of people waiting to order. It's a popular spot.

ya, burgers are what they do. they do also have a standard variety of fast food items, and the token texmex fare of any good SoCal fastfood stand.

The reason I go to Rick's is their spud-a-rito: fries, hot sauce, cheese, all rolled up in a tortilla like a burrito. Yeah, baby!

It's just as delicious (and terrible for your arteries) as it sounds. :-)

I've never tried that, but it sounds pretty magical!
