this was such a full weekend, i'm not sure what to start monday with. so i'll go with one of the last things i did - a rancho cucamonga quakes game with some of the youth from church (which brought back incredible memories from my bike trip two years ago). i'll get to more photos from bike week, the tour of california, art night, among other things, later in the week.

I wish that was still the Angels' A team. Man I love the Epicenter.
You know, they were playing the 66ers - something like 19 players in the game were on the opposing side last year because of the affiliations changing last year.
I would take most of those kids over almost anyone playing for the Dodgers/Angels this season. At least they would play hard, you know?
Maybe that wisdom comes with age. A few of the high school youth were talking about how they wished the caliber of players was better, or that there were names that they recognized. But I agree, I'd much rather watch minor league baseball.
I think appreciation of the sport over the individual comes with age, certainly. And minor league ball is for those of us who love the game more than we love the teams or players. (Not counting Rance Mulliniks, obviously.)
Great shot!
Hey, you should check out a few days ago on my blog. I link to a South Pas baseball blogger who is hilarious and like the Rainman of baseball stats.
Laurie, I'm offended that you assumed I didn't see your post! I check every day. AND I added your South Pas baseball blogger guy to my Google reader.
Thanks for the heads up!
How did you like my baseball post last week with pics of all the Toronto Hall of Fame'rs, BW??
Uh.... what post?
