cupcakes and a wedding

this weekend we traveled to virginia for my cousin's wedding. my mom and my aunt made hundreds of cupcakes for the reception, and of course we were roped in to the process of icing these treats. chocolate, vanilla, red velvet, carrot cake - so much work, and such a tasty end result!

a great trip, and a wonderful wedding. congrats you two!

These look good enough to eat. I am surprised there is not one cupcake holder there on the table that is empty, except for the crumbs.

By coincidence, I just had a red velvet cupcake 2day. Reminded me why i've never been turned on by cupcakes .

I have to say those cupcakes look delicious. If I could reach out and grab one through the computer, I would. I've been thinking of doing cupcakes instead of a giant wedding cake, for my wedding. I found some cute places on http://www.gatheringguide.com/ec/wedding_cakes_bakeries.html that do fancy ones. What is your take?

Well it was a lot of work, but they turned out GREAT! And the guests really loved them. The bride and groom were able to have several kinds whereas with a cake you don't get that many options.
