dual post: la canada-station fire/belgian beer fest at lucky baldwins

forest fires continue in la county. i've been compiling a significant list of bloggers who have been working on the continuing story which you can find at yesterday's post.

the above photo is what i had planned to run today. however with the continued presence of the fires, it is taking a back seat today. never the less, if this heat is making you thirsty, head to lucky baldwins. much like the ipa festival that i attended a few months ago, this one is worth attending for a pint or two. today is the last day to check it out.

This is belgian beer drinker weather, bw! It should be a cold one. Maybe have it in the morning with belgium waffles.

That's awful! And I'm surprised it didn't show up in our papers. California fires usually do. I hope your amazing firemen manage to control it soon.

the smoke is so bad this morning that our church service was canceled. Some kind of California snow day. All of our windows are closed, and it still smells like smoke in our apartment.

I like the transition into the Belgian beef fest post :-) Gotta find relief from all this fire info somehow, right?
