give thanks

my sister has critiqued my blog for not having enough photos with people in them.  well, i figured this one would satisfy for a little while!  this photo is of a recent fondue night with our good friends.  i'm thankful for many things in my life, but food, friends, and family are a good place to start.

have a very happy thanksgiving!

oh yeah, and fondue night with our friends was way too fun.  does anyone else feel like you do not do stuff like this often enough?

I definitely don't do things like this frequently enough in the late-fall and winter. In the summer when the days are longer I'm always firing up the grill and having friends over, but not so much this time of year.

I definitely don't do stuff like this enough! Need to make more of an effort. Actually, fondue for Thanksgiving would be fun...

Happy Thanksgiving, Ben!

Wonderful photo - a great contribution to the blog. (I get the same critique from my hubby.)
Just one thing -- where is the kirsch?

Ah, we cheated and used the Trader Joe's pre-made fondue kit. But funny you should mention Kirsch. We were just talking about it because some friends were wanting to make fondue but they couldn't find it anywhere. Where do you get it?

I've gotten it in the grocery store...Ralph's on Foothill...but most good (large) liquor stores should carry it...
