It's quite a hike from the main car park, you did well. I cheat and use the Pinecrest entrance. It's lovely to go there just before sunset during the week when the rocks turn pink. But there are so many people out of work nowadays that it's busy most the time - though not as bad as at the weekend. Now I have the luxury of being able to hike during the week, I don't want to go anywhere on Saturdays and Sundays.
