pie 'n burger

i had seen several lists that put pasadena's pie 'n burger at the top when it came to the best burgers in los angeles. needless to say, my love of a good burger made me salivate at every list i came across. i'm not sure why it took me so long to end up going here for a bite, but last week we finally got the chance! the expressions on everyone's faces say it all - we were excited to be there!

What did you think? Did it live up to the reviews?

I love this shot!

Our burgers last month certainly were Not at the top of my list. Try Hi-Life burgers & let us know which comes out on top of that list! And, fries? Ours were undercooked while the couple next to us were overcooked!

Hey, don't they have ketchup back in the parts where y'all are originally from?

I guess I didn't really give it a review...

I thought the food was excellent. One of the best burgers I've had in LA so far. I liked the burgers at Lucky Devil's in Hollywood better. But the issue I had is that for a tiny hole in the wall old time restaurant, their prices were way too high. Meredith and I both got a cheeseburger and chocolate shake and we split an order of fries, and our total was almost $30.

My cherry pie was pretty spectacular, and worth every penny.

Yikes. Sounds like they're cashing in on their reputation. Maybe I'll just go for the pie. Then again, maybe not.

Oh yeah, bw, THE prices!
We hit the over $30 mark too, just for what you could get at In n Out (w/o slice of pie) for $12 !

You don't go there for good value.

Our pie was a work in progress is all I can say.
