the humans are dead

i got to experience new zealand's fourth most popular folk parody group last night. that's right, flight of the conchords, live and in person! the l.a. show sold out faster than we hoped, so we were forced to drive north to santa barbara to fulfill our burning desire for musical comedy.

a fun time for sure! if you have no idea who the flight of the conchords are, you need to give your head a shake, and then watch this...

Pat - they are playing in LA tomorrow night. I think you can still snag single tickets if you get lucky on Ticketmaster's website.

Jean - thank you for that lovely comment!

This is something like a concert, but not really.
I watched this vid and I wept. The girls must've been screaming wildly throughout this concert...or, at least tossing their underwear on stage.

Yes, this seems something from down under alright.

The ladies do love Jemaine and Bret. The only thing thrown on stage last night was a blanket because Bret was chilly. Funny stuff.

haha, you can see why we love them in australia.... i gained great brownie points of coolness with my yr12 class this week when there was mention of 'binary opposites' in some high-falutin' English literary article, and the boys started on 'one, zero, one, one, zero' sequences, and i murmured, "the humans are dead"..... ahhhh, raucous applause and amazement that i would be able to quote from FoftheCs! glad you enjoyed them! one of my favourites is the crying song..... all on youtube!
