summer haze and construction delays


the title pretty much sums it up.  oh, there are supposed to be mountains in this picture, but the summer haze blocks them out.

Hey, at least you can kinda sorta see mountains in the picture. In decades past, they would have literally been invisible. Air quality has come a long way in the LA area in the past 30 years.

In the 70s, the sky above Pasadena would have been a copper-color haze and a 2nd stage smog alert. These days, we rarely hear the term.

I've heard many people say that. It would have been an interesting thing to live through - especially to see the contrast today.

I remember how gross it looked from Griffith Observatory. All you can see is a thick brown cloud hovering over the city.
