the landscape at the huntington feels a little surreal at times - almost as if you've left pasadena behind and were transported to another planet.  strange, yet incredibly beautiful.

we made our first visit to the huntington last week.  it is going to take a lot of willpower to not spend the next several weeks filling the pages of this blog with the various plant-life that i photographed.  that is, unless you all want to see more!

we may never be able to afford to buy a house in pasadena. but if we do, we'd love to have a yard that didn't need to be watered every day. this home owner seems to be doing things right!
