i used to think of myself as somewhat on top of how pasadena was building and changing - and then i read this blog. add it to your rss feed and be glad you did. you'll get the inside scoop on everything in pasadena!

tower with clouds

located close to the intersection of hudson and del mar, this tower rises above everything in the area. my best guess is that it is some kind of radio tower, but i have nothing to back that up with. i should have looked around and done a bit more investigation. do any pasadenians out there have any insight?

archstone del mar station apartments

these multi-colored apartments are situated right over a metro stop. amazingly convenient, but i do wonder how noisy it might be living above a metro train.

purple trees

driving down del mar blvd the other day we noticed the abundance of these purple leafed jacaranda trees (thanks to the comment section i now know the official name). not only do they decorate the treetops but they are also currently deposting a purple carpet on the sidewalks along del mar.
