first congregational profile

this isn't the first time this church has been featured on this blog.  i guess it is inevitable as it is located on the corner of fuller theological seminary's campus, and i pass by it most days.

on a different note -- would anyone like to have their pasadena photo posted on this blog?  i've been thinking for a while that it would be fun to get a few guest photographers featured from time to time.  send me a note or comment with your contact info if you are interested.

winter is moving in?

this year has been up and down with all kinds of random weather patterns.  some days have been blistering hot, others rainy and cool.  this week has brought some cooler weather to pasadena once again, with several days of grey overcast looming clouds (and even a dusting of snow on our mountains which i unfortunately did not capture).

profile of the first congregational church

located at the corner of los robles and walnut, the first congregational church looms large above the intersection. it also acts as a large space for fuller seminary events that are too large for any of the buildings on campus.

one of those events was the fall kick-off service that was held this week. here is the pasadena star-news article on the event. you'll notice that fellow blogger and mennonite, matthew krabill is quoted.

yesterday the sky was vibrant in pasadena. it was also our first dry day in quite a little while. this is my first shot at the very beautiful "first congregational church" at the corner of los robles and walnut.
