griffith park observatory and the hollywood sign
a recent bike ride out to mulholland drive gave me the opportunity to catch the observatory and the hollywood sign in the same picture. pretty cool, but you have to click on the image, and try and see through the los angeles smog. cough cough.

They look a lot closer together when you observe from the Observatory.
Ah yes - there's the sign! When you enlarge the photo it's easy to find. Great shot!
For those from out of town, that little white speck of a building on the right side of the hills is the Observatory.
CO - Can you really observe an observatory? Why that's observe!
MrEarl, is your band still playing Wed nite at Cafe 322 in Sierra Madre?
I know BW majors in music so he mite be interested in observing it.
