pasadena art night, baseball style

i apologize for my baseball focus this week - so is life during playoff season for a baseball fan!

yesterday night i ventured out to the pasadena library for a wonderful baseball night arranged by the baseball reliquary which was capped off by "5:04 p.m.: A First Person Account of the 1989 World Series Earthquake" , a film by jon leonoudakis
. it really was a lovely night, you can get the whole rundown of the baseball event at the library right here.

game three of the dodgers/cardinals series is tonight in st. louis. our boys in blue go for the sweep!

Don't apologize! For those of us with baseball teams who were left in the dust... I recognize your excitement as pure joy!

I really enjoyed Art Night last night. Seeing some of the artwork amassed by Norton Simon like the Van Goghs, Renoirs, Monets, Manets, Rembrandts, Degas, etc..... ahhh, time for a sip of absinthe before I start my day. Wait, scratch that. Its 8am. The symphony was excellent, albeit a little chilly already by 7pm. The green trailer exhibit on Fair Oaks north of Orange Grove was not worth the walk IMO. Had fun at the armory looking at the 3D exhibits and was entertained at KidSpace. A perfect (free) night out that included no alcohol either (as pour my absinthe) just kidding! Really, I was surprised there werent more people. All of our buses were half full at best, no long waits, etc. It was a great time!

I'm glad you went and enjoyed it, Ben. I wish I could have gone but last night wasn't possible for me, so I'm enjoying the info I can find about it today.

Ben: I need to see that movie! I was at the earthquake game. I even have my ticket signed before the game by Chris Berman and Bob Costas! I'm trying to find out where and when the film will show again.

Let's hope the Dodgers continue to win and your baseball focus runs for weeks!

It was really a fun time, but then again - everything the Baseball Reliquary does is fun!
