november theme day: public transportation

los angeles county isn't exactly known for its public transportation system, but it is getting better.  pasadena is linked in by several bus lines and the metro gold line, pictured above, a light rail system that runs to union station.  plans are in motion to run the line further east - eventually all the way to azusa.

as usual, on the first of the month, hundreds of bloggers from the city daily photo world are working with this theme.

Great post! I wonder how you got the picture from this viewpoint?

I was wondering the same thing - which bridge are you on? it's a fabulous shot, and very appropriate for the theme day. I bet you could get all the people in those cars into that one train.

I looked at all of the thumbnails - your photo is one of the very best. I love the train going one direction/heavy traffic the other. It nails the theme.

(No offense, though - I liked the photo from Sydney even more!)

PA and Bellis - this photo was taken on the Los Robles bridge/overpass. I just happened to be walking by as the train was coming through with busy Friday afternoon traffic on the one side. A very fortunate time and place!

Thanks for the praise, Justin! I appreciate a compliment like that! Maybe I'll see you at the Fatburger opening today...

Thanks - if my two favorite local daily photo bloggers like it, I must have hit the mark!
