baby's first baseball game
this weekend we visited some friends from college in phoenix. this meant fun times with old friends, as well as a chance to take our 2 month old daughter to her first baseball game. it also meant that i crossed another ballpark off my lifetime ballpark quest (see my full list right here).
the hometown diamondbacks beat the hated yankees 10-4. the evil empire gave up 5 runs in the first inning! needless to say, i need to go to more yankee games with my girl.
fun times, but it is good to be back home after a long weekend away.

the baseball road trip of a lifetime
two nights ago, i had the privilege of attending the dodgers game in which the home team celebrated with a walk-off win, courtesy of a balk thrown by the diamondbacks.
although this would appear on the surface to be similar to the many dodger games i've attended throughout the last three seasons, this one was a little different. you see, i had the pleasure of attending the game with navin vaswani, who is currently in the midst of the baseball road trip of a lifetime.
the dodger game was his 27th different ballpark this season, with only san fran, oakland, and seattle left on his list. it was great to hear his stories and compare his impressions of the various parks with the few that i've been to, as well as share memories of my own ball park journey from last summer.
finish strong, navin! great to meet you.
