weird things were happening yesterday. channel 4 news was parked in the vons grocery store parking lot and a helicopter was circling overhead. no one seemed to know why, but everyone was gathered around watching it. maybe the gray skies? that is a rarity in pasadena - usually you can see the mountains from here, but they were barely visible. if it was a traffic copter, why was the van parked at vons? start your speculation. maybe there is something i'm missing...

A news guy stops on his way home for groceries, and a traffic copter just happens by? Hmm. No. I blow up your photo and see a second copter. And they look like cop-copters. This is a poser.
Wow! Good eyes on the second whirly bird. Must have been a big bust north of the 210.
Oh, and they do happen, don't they? I think you and I are neighbors. We hear those helicopters...
