the patagonia of yesteryear


what is it about sepia tone that makes things look old? I took this image this week, but it looks like it is from another era (aside from the modern vehicles).

on another note, thank you so much for all of the lovely comments yesterday! more comments than any post has ever received on this blog. so many wonderful things said, i can't express how much that makes me want to continue to keep this thing running. thanks once again, you're all so charming.

Color can have all sorts of crazy impacts on a viewer. This is the perfect example of that truth.

It's the presumption that if it's sepia it must be old. B&W doesn't have the same effect. It's a beautiful scene and the modern car is actually a nice touch to age the pic accordingly.

Re comments. What annoys me about theme days is, we comment then never check that daily again until next theme day. This caught my eye in the portal, simple as that, and warranted a comment.
