goose island bourbon county brand stout

okay, i know a pasadena blog should be showcasing pasadena's beer. maybe a pint of something awesome from craftsman brewing. but i don't have the ability to have kegged beer in my fridge (craftsman doesn't bottle their beer yet), so i have to buy from out of town. this recent selection from goose island (chicago) was so impressive i had to pull out my camera and take a picture. if you like big dark stouts, this one should be on the top of your must have list. those who are curious can ask me where i found it.

oh, and if you are wondering how a seminary student thinks he can mix beer and theology, it is quite simple. i think they mix quite well! did you know that one of the highest rated beers on ratebeer.com is made by trappist monks in belgium?

Mary Kathleen O'Looney should be tearing down your door any minute now. Hide the liquor.

The most sickenlyingest stinking disgusting drunk I ever got was after drinking a couple of bourbons. I'll pass.

This was aged in bourbon barrels - imparting some flavor, but really just mellowing out the strong ale. It would be quite different than the bourbon that got you hammered.

I used to be a cocktail waitress in college at a Belgian pub. The owner was a former priest.

(My grades suffered that semester...)

I think religion and good liquor go quite well together, especially when you get deep into theological discussion.

If the PIO was every sickeningly stinking disgusting drunk then all's right with the world, if only because nobody's perfect.

Mary Kathleen, I'm on my way with a bit of warm water and a book of fine poems to read to you.

I think not Missy. Once you enter the web, you don't leave. Even Bernie K won't be able to help you.

Ben: a friend with a netflik account AND a pc. You: bring the bourbon

I'm not afraid of PA OR Palm Axis. I will save Mary Kathleen from a safe distance, over here on Ben's blog.
