waiting patiently

tomorrow is the big day. we'll be camping out overnight to get a good spot for the parade. this is the corner of colorado and orange grove, where the crowds and tv cameras will be. i took this picture a few weeks ago during the massive set up for this event. hopefully i'll have lots of good pictures to share in the coming week.

say goodbye to 2008!

by the way - today is your last chance to vote for your favorite photo of the year in the poll on right the side of the blog. to check out the photos in contention, visit this link.

I hope you don't mind me taking the easy route by copying and pasting this comment, it is by far the easiest method of getting my message to so many CDP photobloggers.
I am not sure that I can sustain South Shields Daily Photo much longer, it is so difficult to keep finding new material on a daily basis,
and after more than two years inspiration and motivation are becoming harder to find, so I may become less daily from time to time.
I hope you can find new hope and inspiration, and that a new start in 2009 brings everything that you desire.
The CDP photoblogging community has grown massively over the past year and I'd like to thank those who have visited South Shields Daily Photo, especially those who have been kind enough to leave a comment or two.
Best wishes for 2008

what a great day for shooting! Folks outside of LA should be jealous: today's high temperature should be near 70 degrees and sunny. Have fun camping out!

We just got back from Pizza across the street & talking to friends in & out of the office. 2 of them are coming to the Parade 4 the 1st time, one is an EMT & the other a teacher.
The police are starting to shut down the N/S intersecting streets into Colorado. So, spectators can now camp out in the intersections.
BW, where on Colorado r u guys trying to stay warm? Did you bring your bike w/you??!!!
