stealth bomber in pasadena?

for something which includes stealth in its name, this isn't a very quiet jet. you can hear it coming from a mile away and it really creates quite the noise. it was pretty cool looking, and something you don't often get to see. the fly-over was supposed to happen before the parade began, but due to some technical delays it happened part way through the parade and as you can see in the picture, people turned their cameras to the sky.

kchblog has a nice video of the event.

Hi Ben! Happy new year! I'm glad you got to go to the parade, though I take it you won't be camping on Colorado Blvd. again...

I'm eager to see the rest of your series.

My word verification is "stings." Like body parts after sleeping on concrete.

I was wondering about that! It woke us up around 9am... we ran outside in our PJs to see it... It really is a sight to see.

Have you noticed that they have been doing fly overs over Pasadena a few times in the last few months, whats up with that?

I think the last one was a test run before the parade a few weeks ago. I expect that's the last of it for now...

Thanks for the link. What I thought was a pretty innocent post on my part has turned into quite the comment-fest. You never know...

I've worked the last two New Year's mornings and I think I miss seeing the stealth bomber flyover more than I do the parade. Nice shot!

BW, this Batplane was very quiet. All of us up on the roof didn't hear & see it until it was almost directly overhead! Quieter than a copcopter.

Suddenly - there it was! Then, we just snapped away the best we could.

But, u obviously had Superman ears which prepared you to be ready 4 a great shot!

Well, I guess now that I think about it you couldn't hear it until it was close to being overhead. But then it was VERY noisy, and that sound lasted for a little while.

Maybe I do have some kind of superhuman ability!
