eagle rock brewery grand opening!

while their brewery has been open for business for a few months, eagle rock brewing is opening their doors tonight for their grand opening celebration. here are the details from their blog:

"grand opening celebration on friday from 4pm-10pm. 8 taps flowing - 4 with eagle rock brewery's brews, and 4 guest taps! Frysmith will be joining us from 6p-10p, so come join in on the party with a side of delicious fries"

it should be a fun time!

I don't like grand openings - I guess I'm just getting grumpier as I get older and don't like crowds - but this sounds pretty fun. I had a pint of the Solidarity at Oinkster a few weeks ago and was really impressed.

Frysmith and beer! That's my idea of heaven. My husband and I can't make it tonight... but we have planned to go out for beers sometime this weekend... I think we know where we'll go now. thanks for the tip! I wouldn't have known about Eagle Rock brewery unless you posted it!

Probably a good move, PulledPorker. It was crazy, crazy busy and crowded tonight! I didn't realize Oinkster carried their beers! The atmosphere would be way better at Oinkster for chilling and drinking a pint. The beer was incredibly tasty, though - I had the English style one and it was smooth. Thanks so much for the heads up, Ben!!

I arrived just after 9:30 and was told they were three times past capacity and weren't letting any more people in. A shame, but I guess that means that business is booming!

I do need to re-visit Oinkster.

I saw that the taproom is open today from 4-10pm.

Wow, 3x over capacity. We left at 7:45 and they were already forcing some people to wait to get in. To be honest, I was a little concerned by the size of the crowd. One woman was trying to push people to the back, and there's no real way out (the brew room doors open the wrong way). Pretty much why we left.

(I'm glad I didn't embarrass myself: I've never met you Ben, but I saw a guy that I thought kinda looked like your picture and I almost went and said hello. Clearly wasn't you!)
