i may be stepping on laurie's toes here - after all, she is our south pasadena daily photo blogger, and does have a soft spot for this beautiful old building(click on that link to get her take on this place). i hope she doesn't mind!

colorado boulevard

boulevard is a funny word. and it doesn't look like it is spelled correctly even when it is. part of pasadena's historic old town district. as i recently learned from wikipedia, "the intersection of fair oaks ave and colorado blvd in old town is the zero-zero, east-west, north-south postal division of pasadena." fun stuff!

best little cat house

i'm not a cat person, and yet this place caught my eye. i'm really curious about what a 'feline exclusive resort and spa' is... can anyone help?

this new building at the corner of fair oaks and california is beginning to look pretty sharp - actually it kind of reminds me of this building. i caught this guy welding something up there and i had hoped that i'd catch the spark of his welding torch - but i guess i failed in that regard.

do you think you could have a job that raises you up in a bucket every day? anyone afraid of heights out there in blogger land?

located in northwest pasadena on fair oaks, i can't find much info on this place of worship on the internet. it looks old. anyone from the area know anything about it?

i can't find much about this place, but it is acceptable material for my friday neon quest. anyone know anything about it? it looks like it could have some stories...

what's the hang up?

i was struck with the rainbow pattern of these hangers in the container store on fair oaks.

heading out of town today. i'll be gone for a week and a half for my little sister's wedding. hopefully i'll have some photos to post from that event, as well as some from my home area (ontario, canada). until then, this thing is on autopilot. keep those comments rolling in, but please behave while i'm gone!
