oahu coast

we were in awe as we drove along hawaii's beautiful coast.  okay, we live in a state that has a pretty amazing coast, and it is the same pacific ocean - but it just seemed like hawaii's water was bluer, the sky was clearer, and the rocks were...  rockier.

if you don't mind, i've got a few more non-pasadena photos from our trip for the next few days.

more for you seinfeld fans

this seemingly innocent picture from santa monica pier is actually a piece of tv history. several episodes of seinfeld featured either george or jerry contemplating life at this very location. and you thought the show was based in new york! i've included some proof below...

malibu coast

this picture was taken by my mom back in may when they were here for a visit. i really like the composition and how meredith, my dad, and i get lost in the rocks.
