i didn't stop to ask why the tv crews were at the courthouse last week - i'm sure they had a good reason.

rainy days

we've been getting some seasonal gray weather and rain this weekend - even some thunder and lightning yesterday!  here is a picture of our soggy city hall. you can't even see the san gabriel mountains because of the hanging cloud cover.

as i was walking along the sidewalk in front of the pasadena county building (aka, the courthouse), i decided to drop my camera down to the sidewalk and point it up toward the sky.  i really like the image that came through - i hope you do too!

i'm really proud of this one.  vibrant sky, iconic city hall, even a few other buildings on the horizon with the mountains behind them.

facelift complete

pasadena's courthouse has been undergoing an exterior change lately - but if you are a faithful reader of this blog, or live in pasadena you knew that already. here is the finished product. it certainly seems like an improvement to me, but i'm still not terribly impressed by this building.

one of pasadena's - how can i say this.... less attractive? - buildings is currently covered in scaffolding. i have visions of a complete make over, but i'm guessing it's just a paint job or something.
