travel town

located in beautiful griffith park, this train museum is worth a quick stop if you are in the neighborhood. it's just a short drive from pasadena, or about a 30 minute bike ride if you visit it the way i did recently. it includes a small train for rides for kids, and lots of big trains to gawk at. go visit travel town, and find out more right here.

ben---another one of my favorite childhood memories...train town!

My father used to take me out there every so often. I had a great time. I *suspect* my mother kicked us out of the house to get cleaning done or to have some alone time---but we had a great time without her anyway.

It was a wonderful place to learn, explore and play---in on and around the trains. My head *still* swivels around when I hear a horn toot or bell clang---to look for the train.

I already did! Did you see in the post that I told you how long it takes to get there by bike? It's a lovely ride over to Griffith Park - depending on how you go.

Only now did I notice you make comments on the shots!

Isn't it a great place? Used to go there often when my son was little. Must be a nice ride to get there on a quiet weekend morning.
