grant park


the fourth installment of the pasadena park series. featuring of course, another new park, and another new mosaic tile sign! grant park was a park that i had never visited before taking on this project. meredith and i really liked the look of the giant red spiderweb thing.

from the city website:

"Grant Park is located at 232 South Michigan Avenue. Hours of operation are from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. The size of the park is 2.5 acres. This neighborhood park is ideally situated for use by downtown residents. Park facilities include two lighted tennis courts; half-basketball courts; softball diamond; three horseshoe pits; open grass area with several trees; restrooms; drinking fountains; picnic tables with canopies; barbecue pits; and a large playground area for children."

I liked the Grant Park picture because people were actually using the park.

Great point - a lot of the parks I photographed had few people. But I was actually surprised at how many were actually in use.

Oh yeah, love the spiderweb thingy. I've never stopped at this park either.

Just wait until your little one is born! This is one of our sons (ages 1 and 3) parks. And if you get hungry, Eddie's Market is right across the street for a sandwich.
