busy as a...


bee.

it's crazy how quickly we can be consumed with daily activities. pausing at the top of a huge hill during my last bike ride allowed me to snap off this photo. if i had gone flying by, i would have totally missed out on all the action that was taking place in these bright flowers. this bee was not alone.

no cactus that I'm aware of, and sadly I don't know the name of these flowers either! Not much help.

It's Pride of Madera (sp?). They're usually purple. It's a great plant for stabilizing hillsides. They're beautiful, but unfortunately only bloom once a year.
