Great choice for theme day -:)

Thanks, I thought so. I didn't even mind the blurriness - I thought it gave a sense of the movement of the crowd.

Beckman auditorium is frequently (lovingly?) referred to as "The Birthday Cake" by Techers.

Congrats on the well-deserved Canadian Gold! I know zip about hockey, but my friends in the know all said it was not only exciting, but if they had to loose the game it was an honor to loose to Canada. Something about "the bounce" not being with the Americans, even though they did the shots right, the bounce was fickle. I haven't a clue what that means. . .

That stair case looks like my daughter's high school at passing time!
I'm so glad you got to hear the Wailin' Jennys, and nice to know you, too, are a fan (well, of course you are, now that I think of it). Hope the concert hall acoustics did them justice.

Cindy, the birthday cake is a perfect name for the building!

Kim, the two games these teams played against each other were two of the best hockey games I've seen in years. They both fought tooth and nail, but I think the better team came out on top. Team USA needs to buy a beer for their goalie who was incredible throughout the Olympics and earned tournament MVP honors.

Love the action shot!

And congratulations to Canada. The final was a great game!

Don't yell "fire" in that stairwell! The Winter Olympics were fantastic.

Yep, the Olympics were a lot of fun this year! I wish that NBC had shown a bit of curling during their prime time coverage, but I can understand that I'm probably in the minority on that one.

Two games between the Team usa & canada resulted in a split of 1-1.
Overall score for the two games:
Team USA 7
Team Canada 6

But, the gold went to the canadians. I guess that's what they mean by home court advantage! :)

I can't tell you how many times I've heard this argument.

But the first game was irrelevant in terms of the gold medal. What it did was grant the USA a bye in the opening round.

Plus, Canada should have won that first game if not for the incredible goaltending of Ryan Miller. The USA is lucky they won a single game, let alone almost two.
