move the game!

next year's major league baseball all-star game is scheduled to be held in arizona. while normally i'd be excited for the fans of that great baseball state, some recent political decisions in arizona have inspired a campaign to have the 2011 all-star game moved to another location.

last sunday a few of us got together after church to show our support for this movement, and you can too...

I have to say, I'm consistently impressed by the social stances your church takes as reported by you. It's nice to see in action that not all religious discussion, as often portrayed in the media, is of a hateful kind. You're a great representative for your beliefs.

Certainly a big part of Pasadena Mennonite Church is our commitment to social justice issues. Sometimes that creates some tension between groups like us, and fundamental Christians, but I think I'd rather be on the side of kindness - not hate.

Thanks for your wonderful word of support.

I'd like to keep politics outta sports.

At some point the two will inevitably meet. Sport is global, while Arizona's political decisions are incredibly narrow minded and most certainly not global.

We have a couple of progressive churches in Pasadena that I know of, maybe more. This photo is a delight, Ben.
