golden state

i don't mind the sunspots on this photo because they usually appear when you take a picture straight at the sun. the reason i wanted to take this was because of how illuminated the ocean was. see that golden sliver on the horizon? the day was clear enough, and we were up high enough, to see the pacific ocean, and it was shining like gold.

more skywatch friday photos can be found right here!

That's really interesting (and pretty) - with the ocean shining and the sun still high in the sky.

Wow, very cool. An ocean of gold, what could be better?

Argh, makes me mad that I haven't been out of the house today to enjoy the (at last) sun. It's so rare to be able to see the ocean from Pasadena and it's a bummer to miss it...

Have no fear, Kat. This was from a few days ago. I'm sure there will be a few more coming up before the summer smog sets in.
