4.7 miles back down

from the top of inspiration point we headed back down the mountain, and as you can see from the sign, we had a significant walk back down.

i hope you enjoyed journeying through echo mountain with us over the last few days.

Was it better down or up? And the girls, do you think they were happier heading up, or going down?

Different muscle groups each way. I prefer going down, but I'm not sure that anyone else felt the same way.

I like this as a photo. I get the impression that the group is running out of steam and silently plodding their way back to the car.

Nice place. In my island, Madeira, where Funchal is the capital, we have similar trails like you have in Pasadena. I believe it's a beautiful place. PC

For me, going up is definitely preferable. You're right about the muscle groups. Plus, on the way down, I get distracted and lazy and often trip.

Looks an interesting place to hike. I'm amazed that there was a railway up to the top and a hotel.
