viewing the marine layer from above


at inspiration point you can get an incredible view of the san gabriel valley, but on the day we hiked up there we could only see a big pillow of cloud cover.

Wow...It doesn't even look like you're above San Gabriel Valley. It's beautiful, the last time I went hiking all I got was a view of smog =/

It's sort of eerie. Almost as though the San Gabriel Valley has been swallowed up and you are standing at the edge of the world.
