breaking away

the lead pack of riders had stretched out a sizable lead by the time they hit pasadena during yesterday's stage 7 of the tour of california. this photo is of that group of 10 riders who ended up crossing the finish line ahead of everyone else at the rose bowl. the race concludes tomorrow in escondido, ca.

more to come tomorrow.

Looks like you were able to get some great photo's. I watched the race online yesterday. Incredible finish!

Thanks you two! While you really get a sense of their speed, it is much harder to understand the greater picture of what is happening in the race while you watch it live.

looks like you had a great spot on State Route 159 aka Linda Vista.

Funny, my grandmother once fought to keep trucks off LV, and this weekend, the rabble-rousing group of bikers and the entourage that goes with the race, rolled through.

I do hope the local economy benefited as well as the young children living nearby, watching such an event.
