outdoor corridor
this arched corridor can be found around the sides of the westin hotel here in pasadena. i feel like the arches might be hinting at another pasadena landmark - don't you?
Years ago, when it was the Doubletree and some of us had passes, we would have work sessions by the rooftop pool. It sounds like we were slacking off, but it was actually a very productive setting for brain-storming various issues.
The courtyard at City Hall is my very favorite setting for these sessions.
great photo and a remarkable observation on the similarity to THE BRIDGE. I noticed the upper openings & thought - interesting, but I would not have made the connection
On the western side of the hotel there is a massive staircase at the one end of the walkway. I'm standing on top of that to get this angle for the shot.
Ms. H, sorry to butcher your name! I meant that one side of the building might be higher, but you're right. I hadn't really thought of how high it goes.

Definitely a call back to the bridge...
This is a gorgeous photo! I love the one lamp above the others.
Nice shot. Like the gold ball on the side of the lamp

Thanks for your lovely comments everyone!
Mrs. H, I'm not sure if the ceiling is higher on one side than the other...
PIO - I may need to go study at the pool some time soon.

Really great shot, Ben. I love it!
It's Miss not Mrs. Mr. Wideman, and I don't think you've understood my comment.
