el taquito mexicano

yesterday's post generated a TON of great photo suggestions, and my bike ride yesterday landed me several great photos. thank you to everyone who contributed!

today's photo isn't a request (we'll get to those in the coming days), but it is one of my favorite taco stands in pasadena. located on the corner of lake and villa across from the hat, they serve up some great tacos, and excellent burritos. ryan and alethia tipped me off to this place a while ago, and it has not disappointed.

Isn't it interesting that more people have favorite taco stands than favorite hamburger joints. I know I do.

Thanks for visiting my site.

what amazes me is that the pull of The Hat didn't draw you in so much so as to miss this place completely!

I've never been here, due to The Hat...will have to fight that force sometime and try it!

I love those little taco stands. This one adds great color and the sky is a plus with those clouds. I liked the suggestions you got in your previous post. I too sometimes feel like I just keep taking pics of the same kinds of scenes. One thing I like to do is look at the ground when I'm out and about and see what interesting things I can find under my feet to photograph. Just another suggestion for you. Happy skywatching...

It's a very classy taco stand & a lovely sky.
Now that you've asked, I've got a suggestion for you. Did you ever take photos of South Grand St. North of the courthouse? the building of the Western Justice Center is just great. Building at or by #1 S. Grand has an incredible mosaic of SoCal theme over the garage entry. The on N. Grand (N of Live Oaks are some of the most amazing houses of Victorian, modern, craftsman style - it ends at a trail down to Rose Bowl, with excellent views of the pool and the bowl. Great place to ride & explore. I probably wouldn't get much exercise in but would ride away with 100s of photos. (Sorry if you've already posted those & I missed them. I wondered around after the Jan bloggers lunch & found all these places.)
One more - Pasadena Museum of History - mansion, gardens, Norwegian house; make sure to walk east into a business building parking lot - interesting trees & building.

I think we shot the same white clouds today.
Suggestions - close ups at Wrigley Mansion, the old Ambassador College campus, or how about jumping over to
Arcadia and the Arboretum. Pasadena has some great trees if I remember correctly.

another great suggestion! Thanks Antjas.

Antjas, I know you're from Pasadena long ago but now a Bostonian, so it's now Maranatha HS instead of Ambassador college.
Yes, Pasadena still has some great trees - but no longer on Colorado in the Playhouse Dist.

Have a Happy Easter/Resurrection weekend, BW!
